Dr Terri Hunter
Terri is an organisational psychologist with a strong consulting background gained as a Consultant and Managing Consultant with SHL (UK & AUS), and CPP Europe. Her PhD focus and still current interest lies in enhancing individual and team development. She brings brain based techniques to help people improve the way they interact at work.
She works in the areas of:
- Individual Effectiveness
- Team Effectiveness
- Brain Based Coaching
- Psychological techniques e.g. Competency Design, Development Centres, Assessment & Recruitment practices
- Psychometric Use
Terri works with both public and private sector clients from CEO and senior team level to HR and department functions in order to help them get the best from their people. This involves working across the business making sure organisations start right by getting the right people recruited through to developing individuals and teams in their roles.
Terri has lectured at various universities in Scotland, Australia and South Africa including, the Universities of Glasgow, Strathclyde, Wollongong, ACU and Witwatersrand. She has also published articles and a book; Strategic Alignment with Dr Norman Chorn as well as being a keynote speaker at international conferences.
Prior to consulting, Terri owned and managed a small chain of pet shops in Scotland and indeed animals remain a passion for her.
She has a PhD (Organisational Psychology) from the University of Strathclyde where she won a scholarship to undertake her studies. She also holds an MA (Psychology Hons) from the University of Glasgow where she was awarded the Alistair Weir prize for best academic performance. She is currently studying for an MSc in the Neuroscience of Leadership.
